Stadium District

Just like the name reveals, Seattle Stadium District is a home to sports stadiums – Sounders, Seahawks and Mariners. But that’s not all – the Stadium District is becoming an entertainment center as well. There are many art galleries, cafés, restaurants, as well as very interesting Romanesque architecture. There is also the Pioneer Square, and in it, hidden away like a carefully protected gem – the Waterfall Garden Park, known for its 22-foot waterfall.

International District

The International District is a well known, multicultural environment located near the Waterfront and Pioneer Square. The parts that make up of International District are Chinatown, Japantown, and Little Saigon, and there you can find Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Vietnamese, Koreans, Cambodians and Hmong. You can visit the Danny Woo Community Garden, Wing Luke Museum, and the historic Chinatown Gate.

Waterfront

If you are visiting Seattle’s Waterfront, then you shouldn’t miss one of the world’s biggest Ferris Wheels. This Seattle Great Wheel is certainly the tallest one on the West Coast, and it offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire Downtown Skyline and the Bay. Well-equipped Aquarium Is also located here, as well as souvenir shops and restaurants that serve seafood.

Seattle Center

Seattle center is a 74-acre park and entertainment area, originally built for the World Fair in 1962. Seattle Center is the home of the most famous landmarks like the International Fountain that operates all year round, Center House, Chihuly Garden and Glass, the EMP Museum as well as the official landmark of Seattle – the Space Needle. Space Needle has an observation deck overlooking the Seattle Skyline and a revolving restaurant.

Kerry Park

Kerry Park is a small, 1-acre park located on the Queen Anne Hill slopes that stem to the south. This is the perfect panoramic spot for observing the Seattle Skyline and taking amazing shots. The neighborhood on its own is an old one, charming and filled with rich architecture.

Ballard Locks and Fremont Artist Colony

Ballard Locks is a complex system of locks in the west Salmon Bay. Apart from reshaping Seattle Waterfront, reducing the water levels and reversing the flow of rivers, Ballard Locks are an often-visited tourist point. There are fish ladders and the very famous salmon viewing room. Freemont Artist Colony is everything its name suggests – a neighborhood filled with outdoor art and bohemian-styled buildings. Today, Fremont is the home for tech giants like Google and Adobe.
